NEW YORK – Extra security measures will be in place Thursday, Sept. 11 at Yankee Stadium, due to a scheduled visit by President Donald Trump.
The Yankees plan to “recognize the victims and heroes’’ of Sept. 11, 2001 in ceremonies before the 7:05 p.m. game against the Detroit Tigers .
According to the Yankees, “Ticketed guests are strongly urged to arrive as early as possible and should budget extra time for entry due to enhanced security measures at all Yankee Stadium gates and entrances.’’
Due to street closures near the Stadium and “limited parking in the area,’’ the Yankees are urging guests to use mass transit “if at all possible.’’
Gates at the Stadium will open to ticket holders at 4 p.m., and guests are “encouraged to arrive as close to 4 p.m.’’ to expedite entry, according to
