WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) — Local leaders are reacting to the death of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, who was shot and killed Wednesday during a university event in Utah.

Kirk, 31, was the founder of Turning Point USA, a conservative youth organization that held events across the country, including in Kansas. President Donald Trump called him a “legendary” voice for young people and ordered flags to be flown at half-staff through the weekend.
