WHEELING — The Wheeling Park Patriots are rolling.
After defeating Parkersburg South in their season opener, last week the Patriots took to the road for their first away game and defeated highly-touted Spring Mills 33-28 behind a last-second goalline stand.
Now, Wheeling Park (2-0) is returning to Wheeling Island Stadium for a 7 p.m. matchup against Musselman (0-2).
“Obviously going three and a half hours away, playing the team that many think is one of the better teams this year in West Virginia– and they played for a state championship last year– so to go to their place and and get a win, it felt good,” Wheeling Park head coach Chris Daugherty said. “But you know it only lasts for a day or two and now you have to get ready for Muscleman and everything that they throw at you.”
