Since 2015, Killingly has been one of the top football programs in Connecticut. Yup, right up there with your New Canaans, Ansonias, Greenwiches, Dariens, Bloomfields and St. Josephs.

The Trailblazers - yes, they finally have a new nickname - have appeared in the state playoffs for nine consecutive seasons (the 2020 season was canceled due to COVID-19 precautions). They reached the state semifinals for seven consecutive years (2015-2022). They have played in five state championship games in seven years, winning three state titles (2017, 2021, and 2024) during this remarkable era .
