A person who'd been hit and seriously injured by an electric bicycle by Boston's Copley Square on in early August has died, police said Thursday.

It wasn't immediately clear when the person died or what their name was — Boston police only shared that they were pronounced dead.

The person had received life-threatening injuries in the crash, reported about 11:19 a.m. at the intersection of Dartmouth Street and Huntington Avenue in Back Bay, near the southeast corner of the Boston Public Library's central branch, on Aug. 6.
