Journey Beyond, the private equity-backed hospitality giant behind some of the country’s best-known tourism businesses, is close to locking in another: Ayers Rock Resort, the only major hotel near Uluru.

Journey Beyond owns The Ghan and Indian Pacific railway operations, as well as several resorts and hotels including Sal Salis Ningaloo Reef.
