VENICE – On a 5-2 vote, the Venice City Council approved a cut in the property tax rate for the 2025-26 fiscal year, when it adopted a rolled-back millage rate.

Tuesday’s vote reduces overall revenues by $419,000, with city residents now taxed at a rate of 3.845 mills compared with the current millage rate of 3.9041.
