Ann Arbor — With Michigan freshman quarterback Bryce Underwood, the No. 1 player nationally in the 2025 recruiting class making his first road start, it appeared Michigan took a more conservative offensive approach in its loss at Oklahoma on Saturday night.

Michigan head coach Sherrone Moore and offensive coordinator Chip Lindsey are chalking up the loss, in part, to a lack of offensive rhythm. Game stats bear out why it was difficult for Underwood and the rest of the offensive cast to get things clicking in the 24-13 defeat. The biggest red flag was Michigan converting only 3-of-14 on third down.
