Don’t get me wrong. As a life-long, dyed in the wool (Kelly green) Philadelphia Eagles fan, nothing delights me more than watching Jerry Jones bungle his management of the Dallas Cowboys.
In case you missed it (or in case you don’t really care about the NFL), just before the start of the season — just before the Cowboys came to visit my Eagles — Jerry Jones, who bought the team in 1989 and made himself General Manager, traded away Micah Parsons, his best defensive player. One of the 3 or 4 best defensive players in the league, in fact, for what amounts to a bag of magic beans and a set of used tires.
