TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA)— A tropical wave is expected to emerge offshore of west Africa in a couple of days, the National Hurricane Center announced.
Slow development of this system is possible over the weekend into early next week as the wave moves.
The wave is expected to move west or west-northwest at about 15 mph over the eastern and central tropical Atlantic.
The chance of formation in the next seven days is 30 percent.
