Thurmont commissioner faces criticism after dispute with local police officer

Thurmont Commissioner Bill Blakeslee is facing criticism after police footage showed a dispute he had with a town police officer at a local park.

After Blakeslee argued with a police officer who asked him to leave a park pavilion in July because it was reserved, the commissioner made comments regarding the incident at a town meeting. Mayor John Kinnaird described the comments as “extremely inappropriate.”
