NORMAN — Jaren Kanak ran a giant Wolverine claw through his curly, blond mullet as he chatted with reporters after OU football ’s big win over Michigan.

Bringing a Halloween prop to a postgame interview session isn’t normal, but neither is Kanak.

He still carries himself with the screw-loose bravado of a linebacker, but don’t let him fool you. These days he’s a refined tight end — capable of crisp routes and one-handed catches.
