CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) - Local communities will be holding events in remembrance of those who lost their lives during the tragic events on September 11, 2001.

On Thursday, we recognize the lives lost 24 years ago when hijacked planes hit a series of buildings on September 11th, 2001. It was the deadliest terror attack in our nation’s history. Every year, across the nation, people come together to remember those who lost their lives on September 11th, 2001, and several communities across western Massachusetts are holding remembrance ceremonies.
