A program that has paired thousands of vulnerable Syracuse children with foster grandparents for the past 50 years will be restored, two months after President Donald Trump’s administration abruptly froze its funding .

Syracuse nonprofit PEACE Inc. suspended the program after the Trump administration withheld $461,186 that was due to be paid to the organization in July for the first year of a three-year contract.
