Jayson Jenkins, a Gateway grad, was named Northeast Conference Special Teams Player of the Week, the league announced Monday.
Jenkins, a kicker for the Robert Morris football team, booted a career-best 46-yard field goal and averaged 42.2 yards per punt at Youngstown State in RMU's Week 2 game at Youngstown State.
This marks Jenkins' second-straight NEC honor. He becomes the first Colonial to win back-to-back NEC Special Teams Player of the Week awards since Connor Shennan in 2015.
