(WHTM)-- A Pennsylvania lawmaker is proposing legislation that would make youth sports more affordable.

The memo claims that the escalating costs of participation in youth sports have made it more difficult for many students to participate. The legislation, proposed by State Rep. Joe Hogan (R-142), aims to address this issue.

The bill would grant parents of Pennsylvania primary and secondary students eligibility for a tax credit of up to $3,000 to offset the costs of expenses related to youth sports. The memo said this would include costs such as equipment, travel costs, and team fees.
