WATERTOWN – THE Watertown High School field hockey team started off the season traveling to Nonnewaug. Nonnewaug came out strong with goals scored by Sophia Garguilo and Anna Crocker in the first half putting WHS behind 2-0 at halftime. Camryn Geiger and Mia Cavallo along with Kathryn Bookout held strong in the midfield for Watertown. They came back strong again in the fourth quarter with Ella Brown and Catherine Viveros each scoring a goal to make it 4-0 for the win for Nonnewaug.

Samantha LaVassuer held strong making her varsity start in goal with 14 saves for Watertown.

On September 5th, Watertown traveled to Newington and came out on top. Chloe Quadrato scored 2 goals with an assist from Bella Badillo to lead Watertown 2-0. The WHS team did a fine job moving the ball around the field
