Two people were killed in a crash on Westheimer Boulevard early Thursday morning, Houston police confirmed.

HPD said the call came in at 5:44 a.m., and units arrived at the scene three minutes later at 5:47 a.m. The scene remains active as investigators work to determine the cause of the crash.

No further details, including the identities of the victims, have been released. Drivers are advised to avoid the area as authorities continue their investigation.
