Police investigating the stabbing death of a man in Perth have charged a woman with murder.

A 49-year-old man known to her suffered critical injuries on Tuesday night and later died in hospital.

The Baldivis home was a crime scene today as forensic officers gathered evidence.

The 44-year-old woman will face court tomorrow.
