In the wake of the death of conservative media personality Charlie Kirk, Comedy Central pulled the rerun of the "South Park" Season 27 episode "Got A Nut" in which Cartman imitates Kirk.
The latest season of "South Park" has stirred up a lot of controversy with only four episodes out so far, and its fifth is slated to air Wednesday, Sept. 17.
In its off weeks, Comedy Central has re-aired Season 27's previous episodes in chronological order.
Those still hooked up to cable, hoping to catch the rerun, saw Episode 2 replaced with Episode 1 of the most current season.

Aside from ICE raids with Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, the plot also follows Eric Cartman imitating Kirk with a podcast where he engages with various callers.
In the days before the episode first aired, Kirk said in an interview on Fox News that he considered the parody on a show he said he grew up watching a "badge of honor." He posted on X that he was changing his profile picture to the black T-shirt-wearing Cartman parody of him.

While the episode was pulled from Comedy Central's nightly lineup, it is available to stream on Paramount+ with a subscription.
