It was a beautiful Tuesday some twenty four years ago when the beginning of the 8:00 am news on KJAS was interrupted with the announcement that an aircraft had crashed into the World Trade Center in New York.
It began an uninterrupted two days of broadcasting information non-stop without any commercials or other interruptions as KJAS, The Texas State Network and CBS brought information about what had happened not only in New York but in Washington and other parts of the country.
Local churches here in the Jasper Area opened their doors for prayer and local officials spoke on KJAS calling for calm.
