NAUGATUCK — Throughout the month of September, the Howard Whittemore Memorial Library located at 243 Church St. in Naugatuck, will showcase the artwork of Waterbury resident Maureen Burns.
A self-taught artist, Ms. Burns spent the last 50 years painting holiday window displays for local businesses. In addition to her seasonal artwork, she also creates expressive portraits and tranquil landscapes using acrylics on canvas.
Her work is currently on display on the Whittemore Gallery Wall at Naugatuck’s Howard Whittemore Memorial Library.
The exhibit is free and open to the public during regular library hours, which are Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
