The Shape of Things to Come [ read it ] is a science fiction novel by H.G. Wells ( The Invisible Man ), published in 1933. It takes the form of a history ‘published in 2106.’ Director Alexander Korda ( Rembrandt ) admired Wells and asked him to adapt the book into a film, to be called Things to Come . Promised complete control over the script, Wells wrote a screenplay which abridges the novel and introduces some new elements from his other works. It’s still a trip, almost ninety years on!
