Woman left traumatised by young thug's abuse

A man who strangled, beat and traumatised a woman has been jailed.

25-year-old Liam Nicholl, of Winscombe Road in Weston-super-Mare , was sentenced to 20 months in prison.

Nicholl appeared at Bristol Crown Court on Tuesday, September 2.

He pleaded guilty to intentional strangulation and three other offences, which will be served concurrently.

He also pleaded guilty of assault by beating, causing harassment with fear of violence and criminal damage to police property.
