An official in Utah says police are working to identify Charlie Kirk’s shooter, who jumped off a roof and fled after firing the fatal shot.

Authorities say Kirk was killed by one gunshot fired from a rooftop at the Utah Valley University campus Wednesday.

Federal, state and local authorities Thursday say they're working “multiple active crime scenes.” Authorities are providing little information about the shooter’s identity, motive, location or evidence.

Kirk was an ally of President Donald Trump, who praises the Turning Point USA co-founder as “Great, and even Legendary.” Vice President JD Vance is set to visit with Kirk’s family in Salt Lake City.
