GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) - Lambeau Field has many nicknames, and now a new one has made a leap into the lexicon for The Frozen Tundra.
On Wednesday, Governor Tony Evers and Travel Wisconsin designated Lambeau Field as the state's 11th "Wonder of Wisconsin."
Lambeau Field now joins 10 other Wisconsin destinations on the list that includes the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore, Devil’s Lake State Park, Eagle Tower, Grandad Bluff, Kohler-Andrae State Park, the Milwaukee Art Museum, Taliesin, Willow Falls, Witches Gulch, and Yerkes Observatory.
Lambeau is like a sanctuary—it’s a really special place. Especially for folks who’ve grown up here or visit Wisconsin, it’s extraordinary to be able to go to Lambeau and see it for yourself. It’s a place that means a lot to us here in Wisconsin. Lambe
