Brock Purdy’s injury situation is concerning enough that the 49ers would like to bring in another quarterback.

At the moment, however, they appear to be stuck with two healthy signal-callers.

While revealing that Purdy’s shoulder and toe injuries make him a “long shot” to play Sunday against the Saints and could sideline him for multiple weeks, 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan expressed on Wednesday his desire to add to his quarterback room. 3

“We’d love to have three guys in the building ready to go,” Shanahan told reporters. “We’ve got some roster issues where we just can’t bring one in right away.”

The 49ers worked out former Jets and Dolphins quarterback Mike White on Wednesday, according to NFL.com.
