ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. — A popular seafood restaurant in St. Augustine announced Wednesday that it will be closing in November after a decade in business due to the impending sale of a marina nearby.
Hurricane Patty's owner Jeffrey Miles said in a Facebook post that he has decided not to renew the restaurant's lease due to the impending sale of the River's Edge Marina. Miles said the restaurant's final day open is Nov. 23.
"For the past 10 years, Hurricane Patty's has been more than just a restaurant, it has been a family business where my wife, my daughters, my son, and I have had the privilege of working side by side," Miles said in the post.
