Threats: Wethersfield Court

A man reported that he has been receiving harassing messages from a supposed drug cartel.

He said the sender is demanding money as a fee for him talking to a girl.

Officers called the number and somebody answered, but quickly hung up when police identified themselves.

They found that the phone number was associated with similar scams from a supposed cartel.

Suspicion: Chestnut Lane

A man said Sept. 4 that somebody had ordered him a package from Amazon containing a can of sardines.

He said he was not aware of anybody who would send sardines to him. He perceived it as a threat.

He only asked that the incident be documented.

Theft: Wilson Mills Road

An Akron woman, 69, was cited for theft at Meijer Sept. 4.
