9/11 remembered at Pentagon and Ground Zero

The victims of the 9/11 terrorist attacks were honored Thursday on the 24th anniversary of the tragedy, which killed nearly 3,000 people.

The big picture: At Ground Zero in New York City, the Pentagon and in communities across the U.S., Americans paid solemn tribute with readings of the names of those who died and moments of silence, as victims continue to be identified over two decades after planes struck the twin towers and the Pentagon building.
