Exhibition attendees are drawn to the event for different reasons. While some go to browse the newest in agricultural technology, others are on the lookout for equipment, products and live demonstrations to beef up their own operations.

Daniel Scott, 25, a dairy farmer from Paris, near Brantford, was looking “at some new milking equipment” for a new barn on his farm. Before attending the show, he looked at two at a cost of about $200,000 each.

Pete Dieleman, 56, who farms corn, soybeans and wheat on his 930-hectare farm near Wallacetown, said the expo offers an opportunity to peruse farming equipment.
