CHARLOTTE (CAROLINA SPORTS LIVE) -- A Carolina Panthers employee has been fired following an Instagram comment about the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, a source close to the situation confirmed to Carolina Sports Live.

An employee recently promoted from intern to communications coordinator during training camp was let go after posting on Instagram: “Why are y’all sad, your man said it was worth it.”

The former employee also shared the song, ‘Protect Ya Neck,” by the Wu-Tang Clan.
