Conservative activist Charlie Kirk was killed Wednesday while speaking at Utah Valley University.

He was just 31.

The horrific killing shocked the world as it was captured from multiple angles in graphic videos that were then shared to social media. The news as well as discussions about who Kirk was and why it all happened went well into the night across most media platforms.

Particularly heartbreaking was the fact that Kirk had a wife, former Miss Arizona winner Erika Frantzve, and two young children. Charlie and Erika were married in 2021 and had a daughter in 2022 and a son in May of 2024.
