SALT LAKE CITY, Utah - The FBI Salt Lake City Field Office has released images of a person of interest in connection with the fatal shooting of Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University on Wednesday.
Special Agent in Charge Robert Bohls announced during a press conference on Thursday that investigators recovered a high-powered bolt-action rifle believed to be the weapon used in the shooting. The rifle was found in a wooded area where the shooter reportedly fled.
The FBI Laboratory is analyzing the weapon along with a palm print, forearm imprints, and footwear impressions collected at the scene.
Bohls said the FBI has received more than 130 tips since the shooting, and all leads are being investigated. The agency has asked anyone with video or images of the shooting to submit them to the
