SYLVANIA, GA (WTOC) - A young child was killed while waiting for the school bus this morning in Screven County in the Whitehill Road area, WTOC has confirmed.

WTOC spoke to the Screven County Sheriff’s Office after a caller provided information related to the child being hit by a vehicle while waiting for the bus.

The Sheriff’s Office confirmed that the event occurred and that the child was struck by another vehicle, but has not yet provided additional details.
