A 32-year-old Arizona man died at Lake Powell on Saturday, Sept. 6, after jumping from the upper deck of a houseboat, according to the Kane County Sheriff’s Office.

The incident occurred on the northern side of Wahweap Bay, in Kane County, Utah. Kane County dispatchers received a call around 8 p.m. notifying them that a man had jumped from a houseboat and had not resurfaced. Personnel from the sheriff’s office, National Park Service and Utah Department of Natural Resources responded.
