PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A man is in the hospital after he was hit by a vehicle Thursday morning in the Maryvale area of west Phoenix.

Officers responded to the reported pedestrian crash around 5:40 a.m. at 83rd Avenue and Indian School Road . They found the man at the scene with serious injuries.

First responders took the man to the hospital, where he was listed in critical condition, police said.

Detectives responded to this scene to investigate what led to the crash. No other information has been released.
