The Toronto Blue Jays are holding onto a divisional lead despite three losses in their last four games, but a potentially fatal flaw has emerged on the roster.

The bullpen has struggled in the second half of the season and those struggles have shown no signs of abating in this closing stretch. As the late innings are coming to mean more and more with the playoffs looming, the Blue Jays are getting desperate for a solution.

"The bullpen has been a problem since the all-star break," Gregor Chisholm wrote for the Toronto Star . "Long relief, middle relief, high leverage, it doesn't matter, there are red flags all over the place, and nowhere are the concerns greater than in the ninth inning."
