STORM LAKE, Iowa (KTIV) - A Storm Lake man pleaded guilty to two counts of possession of child pornography on Tuesday, Sept. 9.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office says evidence presented at the plea hearing, which came from March 2022 through July 2024, showed 52-year-old Brian Oakleaf received, distributed and possessed child pornography.
According to the attorney’s office, law enforcement performed an investigation online into a file-sharing program, directing their attention to an IP address that was reportedly sharing child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
“Investigation into the ownership of the IP address at the time of the file sharing led investigators to Oakleaf,” said the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
