A historic castle featuring a dungeon, dining room and a Great Hall is up for sale for $1.3 million.

Law Castle is a 15th-century fully restored medieval tower house – steeped in royal history and architectural significance.

The stunning property was commissioned in 1467 as a wedding gift for Princess Mary Stuart, daughter of King James II of Scotland, who was a direct descendant of Robert The Bruce.

The castle , set against the dramatic backdrop of the Ayrshire coast, was built to mark her marriage to Thomas Boyd, Earl of Arran.

Listed with Savills, Law Castle, in West Kilbride, North Ayrshire, has been described as a “striking fusion of medieval architecture and modern comfort.”
