STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- One of Staten Island’s top elected officials is honoring the victims of the terror attacks on Sept. 11, 2001 by introducing new legislation to memorialize them and urging the federal government to set a trial date for those who were responsible for the tragic events.
On Thursday, Rep. Nicole Malliotakis led a letter sent to Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth asking him to help secure a new trial date for the terrorists responsible for the 9/11 attacks.
