Here are five “start em & sit em” recommendations for week 2 fantasy football tight ends.
Start Em: Tight Ends
Tyler Warren, ColtsWarren had a monster rookie debut with seven catches on nine targets for 76 yards. Expect consistent production as the Colts continue to funnel targets his way, and Denver’s defense often allows high tight end target rates.
Dallas Goedert, EaglesGoedert led all tight ends in week 1 with a massive 35% target share. He’s a reliable option against the Chiefs, who have allowed the fifth-most fantasy points to tight ends since last season.
Jake Ferguson, Cowboys
Ferguson saw six targets and made five catches last week. Facing the Giants, who surrendered a tight end touchdown last week and have allowed him strong production in their past meetings, Ferguson is a top-12 option.
Hunter Henry, PatriotsHenry remains a favorite for Mac Jones and draws a Dolphins defense that struggled against tight ends—making him a sneaky start with red-zone upside
Trey McBride, CardinalsMcBride is coming off a strong opener and matches up against a Panthers defense that has shown vulnerability to tight ends. His route involvement and target share make him reliable in PPR formats.
Sit Em: Tight Ends
Tucker Kraft, PackersKraft only managed two catches for 16 yards despite a touchdown last week. The Commanders allowed the fourth-fewest yards to tight ends last season, making Kraft a risky play.
Colston Loveland, BearsLoveland is still running second on the depth chart, and Detroit has limited tight ends to just four touchdowns since last year. He saw mostly two-tight end set usage last week, lowering his ceiling.
Cade Otton, BuccaneersOtton played a complete set of snaps but was held without a catch on three targets. His usage remains inconsistent, and he faces a Texans defense that is tough on tight ends
Mike Gesicki, BengalsGesicki’s role and Cincinnati’s tight end usage remain uncertain, and with Joe Burrow focusing on wide receivers and a split in snaps, better options are available this week.
Harold Fannin Jr., BrownsFannin Jr. saw nine targets last week, but is still second on the depth chart behind David Njoku and faces a more challenging test against the Ravens. Given his uncertain role, he’s a bench candidate until he gets consistent volume.
