LOUISVILLE, Ky. —

First responders were called to Central High School on Thursday, but police say there is no danger.

Louisville Metro police said there was a call to the school on West Chestnut just after noon "claiming trouble," but the claim was unfounded.

LMPD and JCPS both said it appears to have been a "swatting" call. Swatting is a false call made to emergency services in an attempt to bring a large response to a particular place.

No further details were immediately available, but the scene is now clear and police said there aren't any threats to the public.
