WASHINGTON, DC — JUST BEFORE THE 24th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer and Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand introduced the bipartisan 9/11 Memorial and Museum Act. This legislation, introduced a few days ago, would authorize the Secretary of Homeland Security to make a one-time grant ranging from $5 million to $10 million to the 9/11 Memorial and Museum for operations, security and maintenance of its facilities.
