Virginia senators mark 24th anniversary of Sept. 11 attacks, call for unity

VIRGINIA (CBS19 NEWS) -- Virginia’s U.S. senators reflected on the 24th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, saying the lessons of that day remain urgent more than two decades later.

Sen. Tim Kaine said the attacks — which struck the Pentagon in Arlington and killed 184 people there — left a lasting mark on the state.
