The City of Kitchener is looking for feedback as it updates its policies around cultural heritage landscapes.
The city’s website describes cultural heritage landscapes as “historic places that blend the built and natural environment, and provide us with valuable insight into the events, people and activities that form the shape of our city.”
These areas vary from residential or industrial neighbourhoods and heritage roadways, to parks and cemeteries.
As the city works on a new official plan , it’s also reviewing its cultural heritage landscape policies.
Residents are invited to provide feedback on boundaries, heritage attributes and conservation tools during an open house on Monday, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Rockway Golf Course.
