A second person involved in a fatal shootout at Salopek Park on Sept. 4 has been arrested, according to court records.

The Las Cruces Police Department arrested Elijah Sombrano, 18, on Sept. 10, 2025, according to jail records. He is charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and tampering with evidence for his involvement in the shootout at the park that resulted in the death of 19-year-old Julia Clark.
