JACKSON, Mich. (WILX) - On Thursday, Antonio Green, the suspect in the killing of 18-year-old Mia Sims of Jackson, was arraigned. Green was charged with homicide-second degree murder, discharging a firearm in or at a building causing death, and felony firearm.
If convicted, Green faces up to life in the Michigan Department of Corrections. Green was taken into custody in Fresno, California, on August 19.
A Probable Cause Conference has been set for September 19.
Mia Sims was shot in the neck on July 27 in the 1500 block of Carl Breeding Way. Sims was transported to the hospital, where she would later die from her injuries.
