Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers sometimes forgets his many requests for teammates. Luckily for him, wide receiver DK Metcalf has a good memory.
In a story published Thursday, The Athletic's Mike DeFabo reported Rodgers gave Metcalf "a lengthy homework assignment" while they roomed at training camp. The QB wanted the WR to prepare a weekly scouting report for Pittsburgh's opponents. Rodgers forgot he did that until Metcalf sent him a long text before their Week 1 game at the New York Jets.
"I kind of forgot about it," Rodgers told DeFabo after the Steelers won 34-32. "On Tuesday, guess what I got? I got a text message with his thoughts, and it wasn't a short one. It was like he put a lot of time into it.
"That's what everybody loves about DK ... he really cares about it.
