NEW YORK (WBNG) -- Representative Elise Stefanik announced she will chair a bipartisan committee on Intelligence Review of the 9/11 Commission Report.
Through the next year, the committee will review the report by conducting oversight hearings and investigations to put forward recommendations to strengthen national security.
The report will be released next year, on the 25th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.
"As a senior member of the House Intelligence Committee and a proud New Yorker, I am honored to announce that I will be chairing the bipartisan House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence Review of the 9/11 Commission Report," said Stefanik in a Facebook post.
